Dear Church Family,

I trust you are doing well and staying encouraged in the Lord!

Like you, I was thrilled to hear the emphatic endorsement of President Trump as he declared churches "essential". For those who know me, this has been something I have always preached and will continue to do so until Jesus returns for His church.

Hebrews 10:25: "not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

As you know, right from the beginning of this pandemic we took a step which required a bit more creativity and work, but the value of "meeting together" even if it was separated by vehicles led us to host "Drive-In Services". Sunday, May 24th marks the tenth Drive-In Service since we began on March 22nd.

The first few weeks were a bit chilly, but not too bad, especially with a couple of heaters supplied by Phil and Jason Morgan. They also have blessed us with a trailer for our platform and consistent, practical, and prayerful support.

In addition, Luke Wickard has been amazing with his technical abilities to make sure all has gone well with our online broadcast. Since we were already broadcasting before, it was a smooth transition outside, and we know it will be the same when we transition back inside.

My deepest thanks continue to go out to Pastor Justin and Wyatt who have blessed us with anointed worship each week. Pastor Dave and his few minutes of children's ministry during the service have blessed our children, in addition to daily "New at Two" YouTube updates. Both Pastors have been tremendous in setup and tear-down.

Walt Boyer has led our Ushers with tremendous capability, which has enabled us as Pastors to keep our minds and hearts on the services.

While all of this is going on, we decided it would be a good time to "refresh" the Sanctuary with new carpet while in this "holding pattern". Thanks to all of you, our finances have remained steady during this time, so we felt it would be a great time to take care of these needs. Thanks to a great group of men and ladies, we were able to remove the old carpet last Tuesday evening. The new carpet and it should arrive for installation in the next few weeks.

Pam and Preston Hostetter have been cleaning every chair in the sanctuary as well and will continue to do that while making sure the church is ready to go when we open the doors again.

So, with that said...

We anticipate a few more weeks of Drive-In Church while we wait for the carpet to arrive and be installed before we re-gather in the Church Sanctuary. We realize other churches are starting to meet now, but please remember, we have been meeting on a weekly basis already!  What a time it's been!

We have worked on a plan and need to refine it and share it with you in the next week or so as far as when we are able to enter the Sanctuary again for worship.

I would hope that we can be in by the first week or two of June, and we will see how it goes as far as these improvements and keep you posted.

Again, you have all been amazing as we have met weekly to week "On-site, Online, or On the Phone". We believe we have provided sufficient options to worship together, and your many prayers and comments have been welcome. The notes of encouragement you have sent have also been appreciated.

Rest assured, we will do our best to provide a re-entry plan that is safe, and we hope to meet as many needs as possible from the youngest to the most elderly attendee.

We love you all!

In Christ,
Pastor Norman Lawrence
