Dear Church Family,

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how much we appreciate your support, prayers, and patience over the past few months.

Little did we realize how long this process would take when we ceased our regular church gatherings in addition to group events. As you can imagine, the task of opening our facilities for services once again takes more thought than closing things down for a while.

Enclosed, you will find the plan we will be implementing and no doubt, “tweaking” as we go along. We do understand that several things will be a bit different than before, but we do trust and pray any changes will be temporary.

Our desire from the very beginning has been the health and safety of our members and attendees. This desire will continue to be the case as we re-gather inside for services.

With that said, opinions are numerous on the best approach for this, and while a certain set of procedures work in one area of the nation, there is no guarantee it will work for where we are. We appreciate your prayers for all of us in leadership that we will be led by faith as we go through the process of opening our doors.

As we begin to implement this plan here at Millersburg Assembly of God, we would prayerfully make one main request of everyone who attends, and it is this:  Please be filled with grace toward others.

In our re-gathering process, we realize there may be some who absolutely can’t wait to get back, while others aren’t quite ready. There are some who will want to wear face coverings, and others may not. There are some who are ready to shake hands and give hugs while others are not. (For the comfort level of everyone, please hold off on the hugging and shaking for a while.)

While we may have some challenges ahead, I believe with all my heart that we are up to the task because as believers, we can be filled with grace and not react in the manner the world would react.

Romans 12:10 (NKJV) 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

Please take some time to go over the enclosed guidelines. We will do our best to worship together again in a way that brings glory to God and encouragement to the believers. And, I might add, that we would see souls won into the Kingdom of God!

Our new Carpet is being installed this week, and we would like to have our first Service back in the Sanctuary on Sunday, July 5th at our usual time of 10:30 AM.

There is a lot of work to be done as we “re-connect” many items on the platform, sound room, etc. All of these things have had to wait until re-carpeting is complete.

On Sunday June 28th, we will host our final Drive-In Service in the parking lot. We will also express our thanks to the Lord for His wonderful blessings on us as we held services in the parking lot!

What an amazing time it has been!
