What a wonderful time of the year to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior!
New life is springing up all around us as trees begin to bud, flowers begin to bloom, and birds come alive with “the sound of music”.
Over 2,000 years ago on a morning in Springtime, our Savior, Jesus Christ rolled the stone away, and rose from the dead as the redeemer and Savior of mankind.
Without the resurrection, we have nothing, but with it, we have everything. No other great leader, whether in the past or present has ever been able to make this claim, and even if they have made the claim, the proof is not to be found. The tomb of Jesus is empty and it’s up to us to not only celebrate this fact but also to share it with others!
We have decided as a board to ask that you consider bringing a special offering to Church on Resurrection Sunday (April 4th) over and above the regular tithe and offering for the following purpose:
Our Project for this year will go toward the purchase of tables and seating for our new Pavilion. We will be able to store them in the storage area for the various functions we will be hosting very soon. This will save transporting chairs and tables back and forth from the church, which will save on the “wear and tear” as well. We are planning on Wednesday night events throughout the Summer in addition to the Women’s Ministries Bible Study in May and June on Tuesday evenings. We will also soon plan some “after Church” fellowships too! Over the past year, we have often heard these words: “we’re in this together”. Well, it’s TIME to get together!
You should have received a giving envelope in the mail, or you may simply designate “Easter Offering” on your regular giving envelope. If you are unable to give at this time, no problem! God is faithful to meet your needs AND ours!
Again, thank you for considering this need, and we look forward to seeing you in church on Easter Sunday.
